Sometimes people will suffer from overcrowding, which is where your mouth is too small for all of your teeth. They will be overlapping, and there may not be room for your teeth to move into straighter positions because of the lack of space in your mouth. Aftercare that lasts a lifetime

Regardless of what type of treatment you have received from our orthodontist in Edgware it is important that you take your aftercare seriously if you wish to keep your new and improved smile. When your treatment has ended we will supply you with a retainer to wear. This retainer will be custom made for your teeth and should be comfortable to wear. Depending on your individual circumstances you may need to wear your retainer for months or even years after your treatment has ended. Usually you will be expected to wear your retainer constantly for seven days after your treatment and after this you will be able to wear it solely at night.
